Eli goes to the Beach

We took the boys to the beach over the weekend and they had so much fun!I will add a pic to this when I am done uploading. Eli has had reflux cough when eating the last week and actually got sick when laid down the other night. OF course we are paranoid! Its what the drs tell us will happen. He seems to be fine now so we will just pretend that didnt happen. You guys know the reflux cough, it was definitely reflux cough not a cough, while eating at each meal. Sabin, my 8 year old, even recognized it as reflux while Abram and I were pretending it didn’t happen. Oh, well, we are praying it will go away and that it is nothing.

On a brighter note, Eli has been having lots of fun, we took them to the water park here weekend before last, the big boys had soccer camp last week where Eli got to play on the playground everyday, and then the beach friday, saturday, sunday. He loves the beach, he even got to run from the waves, and we buried him, HeHe.

Notice the hair cut? Abram had enough and took him, I cried!

I tried to add photos to my album but can’t figure it out so look for it soon when I get it done. I will have a pic of Sabins baptism as well.

It’s Been a While

Been a while!!

Wow, I am so glad I am back on here (thanks to Janette). Eli is doing wonderful! He is like a normal little human, what can I say? We are so thankful that God still performs miracles and Eli is definitely one of them.

I wanted to give everyone a quick update, well, it has been a few weeks since this happened, but I haven’t been able to get on here!

We went and saw his new GI who met with his old one and went over everything, he is so nice, and he got tearful when speaking to us, he said he has read and heard all about Eli and knows we have been threw a difficult time. He said he takes his patients very seriously and understands what it is like living through this, the GERD, all the illness, and the choice for fundo, and the after affects. He cant believe Eli is doing well with the fundo and told us to keep our fingers crossed. He thinks he will grow out of it and need it redone ( I did not like that part) and told us the minute he exhibits any symptom returns to get in touch with him immediately. He doesnt believe in fundos because of the unsuccessfulness of it and was amazed at how well Eli has done. I told him that Eli has many people praying for him and that it was an act of God.

He still doesnt think we are in the clear and wants us to be aware that he could change for the worse again at anytime, more so than we would like to admit. Abram and I didn’t want him to rain on our parade so we are just focusing on how impressed this guy was with how well he has done with the surgery. He cant believe Eli has no retching or gagging. He has had many patients who have done really bad with the surgery so Eli was good for him to see and have as a patient. He says he is rooting for him and to keep praising God for how well he is doing, which we definitely are and will be doing. I really liked him alot and I am glad Eli has him. Eli will go every 3 months to check in unless any symptoms come up so that is where we are at!! Its a very very good place to be…..

Thanks to all
