He has been soo spoiled today! Opened presents all day, went to the park and Chuckie Cheese with his favorite people (his brothers) and even went to Grandmas for a party… (he is having another one sunday). He wont and wouldnt eat anything including birthday cake but hey, what can we do? He was so excited, when opening his presents he was singing "Happy Birthday To You!" And he blew out candles over and over… and puked for Grandma of course…. wouldnt be a day with Eli without some drama of course! All in all, he is such a sweetie, him, Sabin, and Andrew, we are so blessed. My baby isn't a baby any more!

I have been talking with GI all day. He seems to think it is either seizure, dumping, blood sugar problems, or electrolytes. He told us to get a glucose monitor to check him during the next episode, if it goes below 60 then I guess that will tell us its blood sugar problems or not. This kid is a booger, he doesnt empty so we fix him, and now he is emptying to fast into his intestines……. LOL! He is perfectly chubby happy running around. So, basicly they want to wait until it happens again. He keeps telling everyone he saw the dr because candy made him puke. His birthday is coming up soon, I am so excited for him!! He has had a crazy year thats for sure. I am hoping and praying next year will be much funner and healthier for him. Like the last 4 months have been, just wonderful. Thanks you guys. Hope all your GERDlings are doing well .

OK, so Eli is playing fine today all day, around 4 he comes to me and tells me his tummy hurts and proceeds to fall on the ground screaming in pain, this continues oh about 20 min than he has diarrhea, then he begins vomiting (hes had the fundo to prevent this remember), alright, so after he pukes all over himself I put him in the tub while it is filling and go get the sheets from my bed that he puked on, meanwhile mom and dad walk in to come and help me with him and we all run back into bathroom together and he is sitting there swaying so I pick him up and his eyes roll and he just goes limp in my arms. I am holding him and we are all trying to get a response. Then I decide to take him to the hospital. HE is still limp and eyes rolling so we decide to call 911…… Ambulance comes, we take him, he starts to look better once in the room and then comes out of it, nurse thought it was a seizure. 2 1/2 hours later Dr still hasnt come in and he is fine so we walk out ticked off because they said it would be another 2 or 3 hours (I told you guys I dont like our ER).

Eli is so confusing!

 Eli has been doing fine now. I am wondering if maybe if something to big goes down that maybe it swells a little and then he may gag and get things stuck easier while its swollen… ? Anyhow, he is feeling great, eating everything so I am just not sure. We have only had a couple episodes since the surgery but they seem to come in waves just like the reflux, so maybe it is reflux? Anyhow, he is feeling fine right now and that is awesome!!

Eli had his upper GI yesterday and everything looked like it was all in place. I am not sure what his GI will want to do but we just think we want to leave him be. I did start giving him his prilosec. His GI doesnt want him to be able to vomit and his surgeon says he wants him to be able to vomit when he has to and he can so I am just not sure what to think, I am glad he can when he needs to, I am just hoping it is tight enough to prevent the damage, I think just giving him prilosec will take care of all the concerns so that is what we are doing… he has been coughing and choking through meals so we will see if the prilosec shows any improvement.
